Welcome to Our Faculty
Our faculty was established after the decision of the Council of Ministers (number 2010/103) published in the Official Gazette on February 26, 2010. Thanks to the spiritual and the corporeal support of our Rector Prof. Dr. Hayri Coşkun,  the amendment of the building, the purchase of the required equipment and forming the academic staff have been completed in six months following my appointment as the Dean of the Faculty. Our Faculty currently serves to the public in its temporary building in the city campus of AIBU. Necessary preparations have been made for the construction of our permanent building intended to be completed in two years. Our Faculty serves dentistry health care with its branches in the Department of Clinical Sciences, such as Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics and Prosthodontics dental treatment as well as departments of Orthodontics and Pediatric clinics.
With the establishment of our faculty, we aim not only to carry out scientific research and provide education but also to protect public’s oral and dental health and to solve problems. For this purpose, we have a young and diligent staff following all the relevant scientific and technological developments and applying these into practice.
The Higher Education Council separated 31 students as the quote for the department and the education will begin in September 2011.
I believe that our Faculty which will contribute to national and international science and be a key spot for the solution of oral and dental problems will be a good asset for our city. |
